Trauma and spinal implants require finishes that meet functional and aesthetic requirements, no matter how they are produced. This presentation will provide an overview of different finishes and the methods used to produce them. Repeatable and consistent processes like mass finishing and wet blasting are an integral part of the production process of medical implants and devices, no matter if the parts are manufactured conventionally in large volumes or additively for patient-specific implants. Today’s finishing equipment not only guides the operator through the process, but can also capture processing data in real-time.
Bernhard Kerschbaum, Chief Executive Officer, Rosler Metal Finishing USA
Mr. Kerschbaum was appointed CEO at Rosler in 2014, returning to the company after a six-year absence during which he served in operations leadership roles at Geislinger. Previous titles at Rosler included Production Manager and Project Manager. The company designs and manufactures vibratory finishing and shot blasting equipment and consumables, such as finishing media and chemicals.

Mr. Eldridge joined Rosler in 2004 as a Sales Engineer, rising to Regional Manager Midwest USA & Canada in 2013 and assuming his current role in 2015. He holds a B.S. in Engineering from Western Michigan University.
