Set Your Sights on OMTEC 2025
It’s time to mark your calendars and register to join more than 1,400 OEMs, contract manufacturers, service providers and consultants in Chicago for OMTEC 2025, the only conference that’s solely dedicated to members of the orthopedic manufacturing community. OMTEC’s mission is to educate, connect and empower the people who advance orthopedic manufacturing and product development with three days of unparalleled networking opportunities and focused education.
“It remains the best show I attend each year,” said Tom Norman, COO of Skeletal Dynamics. “I find new suppliers and reinforce relationships with current ones.”
The 19th annual OMTEC event will host more than 200 exhibitors, setting the mark for the highest participation in the history of the conference for the second time in two years. They’ll share their expertise in manufacturing, materials, surface treatments, sterilization and packaging, giving OEMs the unique opportunity to meet with numerous suppliers at a single event.
At last year’s show, Erik Kanalas, Vice President of Operations at OrthoPediatrics, connected with 16 suppliers in seven hours. “I discussed business affairs with current sources, met some new potential sources and reconnected with old colleagues,” he said.
Joseph DeSantis, Director of Supply Chain at Spine Wave, meets with about 70% of the company’s supply base at OMTEC. “This helps us optimize periodic supplier site visits to focus on the most productive opportunities,” he said. “The list of suppliers at OMTEC is where the real value lies.”

This year’s education program will feature informative and engaging sessions focused on the specific needs and interests of orthopedic professionals. You’ll learn from the best in the industry and gain valuable insights into the latest trends and developments that impact the commercialization chain.
The conference’s first day is highlighted by a supply chain symposium that includes panel discussions on using the latest technologies and tried-and-true practices to effectively manage supplier relationships and build resilience in your manufacturing capabilities.
The Think Tank is back, providing an opportunity to connect with experts in an intimate setting that fosters insightful discussions and collaborative idea sharing. Head to the Tech Center to learn about the latest trends in orthopedic manufacturing, including ways that artificial intelligence, additive manufacturing and automation are advancing the design and production of innovative surgical solutions. In-booth presentations conducted by exhibiting suppliers that share their technical knowledge, best practices and case studies add to the comprehensive education program.
OMTEC is also known for its lively networking events that offer ample opportunities to connect with like-minded peers. New for 2025 are Speed Networking events focused on helping OEMs identify additive manufacturing and packaging partners. Beloved events are back, too. Get things started at the festive Welcome Reception and keep the good times going at the Pancake Breakfast, Networking Lunches and spirited Burgers and Beers event that closes out the conference. Get ready to check out the new Beer Garden where you can kick back, relax and enjoy a cold beverage while connecting with industry colleagues.
“OMTEC gets better every year,” said Ryan Thornburgh, President of Precision Medical Technologies. “The location, lunches, welcome events and happy hour drive a ton of real engagement.”
We’re also looking forward to recognizing the recipients of the inaugural OMTEC Awards who demonstrate outstanding achievements in device design, transformative leadership and innovative solutions that advance manufacturing practices. Join us in honoring their accomplishments during the Keynote breakfast.
This year’s meeting will be held June 17-19. Registration is now open. We’re looking forward to catching up with familiar faces and making new connections. See you there!
