Thursday, June 19 @ 11:00 am - 11:15 am

Validation of Orthopedic Devices with Chlorine Dioxide Gas Sterilization
This presentation will discuss chlorine dioxide gas sterilization, the technology and science behind it, and its benefits over other sterilization methods. A case study will detail chlorine dioxide gas sterilization’s use with the SteriKnee pre-assembled, single-use sterile kit. The kit incorporates a single-use sterile instrument to support NovoSource’s NovoKnee system, which is utilized for measurements, alignment, making cuts and knee preparation for the SteriKnee implant. The objective of this presentation will be to learn about the implementation, validation and effectiveness of the chlorine dioxide process on the orthopedic device. Discussions will also include the sterilization validation process, packaging and material compatibility, cytotoxicity, residues and processing time. Presented by ClorDiSys Solutions, Booth 762
