THINK Surgical is reshaping the joint replacement market with the TMINI System, an implant-agnostic robot that is compatible with nine FDA cleared implant vendor partners. Carlsmed combines personalized surgical planning with 3D-printed spinal implants. The company’s aprevo technology has two FDA Breakthrough Device Designations and is supported by CMS reimbursement pathways.

Dan Cook is a Senior Editor at ORTHOWORLD, where he helps manage the company’s editorial and educational efforts. Mr. Cook develops content focused on important industry trends, top thought leaders and innovative surgical technologies. Before joining ORTHOWORLD in 2022, he was a long-time member of the editorial staff at Outpatient Surgery Magazine, where he most recently served as the publication’s Editor-in-Chief. Mr. Cook graduated from Villanova University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology.

Niall Casey is the Chief Intellectual Property Officer and co‑founder of Carlsmed. In his role, he leads the company’s innovation and intellectual property strategy and plays a critical part in guiding technology development. He also serves on Carlsmed’s Board of Directors, contributing to the company’s long-term strategic direction. Niall is a seasoned executive and registered patent attorney known for his deep expertise in intellectual property, product development, and commercialization. His career spans roles at several prominent spine and orthopedic technology companies, including Alphatec Spine, Ellipse Technologies, NuVasive, and Johnson & Johnson’s DePuy Synthes Spine.

Jonathan Gibson is Vice President of Marketing at THINK Surgical. He has extensive experience in the commercialization of disruptive technologies within the medical devices industry. Prior to joining THINK Surgical, he was the product manager for the Mako Total Knee Application at Stryker Corp. Jonathan has significant experience in marketing with a focus on user experience and driving utilization of new technologies. He earned a BS in Marketing and a MBA in Business Management from Seton Hill University.
