The management of orthopedic devices has come under scrutiny, as commoditization and cost pressures have forced hospitals and surgeons to reevaluate which implants they use. From robotic surgery to AI, many aspects of surgical care are being automated to drive efficiency and quality outcomes. However, the logistical management of medical devices preoperatively, intraoperatively and postoperatively has remained unchanged for decades.
