John Scherzer

John Scherzer is Vice President of Medical Markets at Carpenter Technology, where he leads global strategy and commercial growth for the company’s medical business. He brings nearly 30 years of experience in advanced materials and manufacturing, translating technical capability into commercial outcomes across the global medical device and materials supply chain. 

He has held leadership roles across product metallurgy, product management, and business leadership. His background in metallurgical engineering underpins his ability to bridge technical innovation with market application in highly regulated, performance-critical sectors.

He holds an MBA in Strategic Management from Temple University and a Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Lehigh University.
